Background

In 2023, AI became a practical tool seamlessly integrated into daily life, also facilitating precise access to educational resources.

The Goal:

Find a solution to help individuals to build a personalized career guidance and training platform by tailoring advice, education materials, and upskilling curriculums to each user's unique background, language needs, current skills, and goals.

Research - The Beginning of All Good Things

To better understand the pain points, motivations, and goals of our users when engaging around climate change we began with primary and secondary research and analysis.

For our primary research, we conducted a series of one-on-one interviews lasting between 30-45mins to gather information on the user’s feelings, motivations, behaviors, and routines around climate change. Over the span of two weeks, our team interviewed 40+ individuals.

To Understand

We set out to understand the potential users of Learning by interviewing mobile developers.
We conducted 1 on 1 interviews with the goals of understanding:

  • HOW users learn?
  • WHAT drives users to learn?
  • WHAT motivates users to seek out mentorship?
  • WHAT makes users to stick to a platform?

We collected all participant responses, reviewed them one by one, and grouped those with connections while setting aside unrelated ones.

We were left with a few big take aways:

  • Lake with mentorship

  • More practice, better knowledge consolidation

  • Official Certificate after completion

After conducting competitors audits, we have identified the following key insights to inform the direction of our user research:

  1. The core problem with existing bootcamp is their lack of customization to the needs of individual career changers, instead taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
  2. Traditional bootcamp limit to provide sufficient ongoing feedback and skills assessment to help guide continuous improvement.

Product Flows

The development of our AI bootcamp product were a substantial endeavor. It involved various components for the learning platform and integrating cutting-edge AI technologies. The process commenced with the team mapping out comprehensive learning paths and mentorship workflows to ensure a seamless educational experience.

Prioritize the most important information

After the first iterations of the product flows the team got to work with sketching and creating wire-frames; incorporating the information that would be needed and then combining them into prototypes following the flows. We sketched different ideas, coming together after we were done to decide as a group the direction the design would go in.

Design Challenge 1: Lake with mentorship

AI Chatbot:
Al Chatbot will accompany users for their whole self-study journey, quickly answering all kinds of questions they encounter. It is a great helper in improving learning efficiency

Design Challenge 2: More practice, better knowledge consolidation

Post-Lesson Quiz:
After completing a lesson, Learning seamlessly integrates related exercises, allowing users to reinforce their understanding and enhance proficiency. These quizzes serve as a practical bridge, enabling users to apply newly acquired knowledge with confidence.

Design Challenge 3: Official Certificate after completion

Certificate Awarding:

Upon successfully concluding a course, Learning seamlessly facilitates the issuance of certificates, providing users with tangible recognition for their accomplishment and validating their expertise in the acquired knowledge and skills.

    We've resized the button to a height of 48, aligning it with UI element standards.
  • Add the function of payment method history
    We've introduced a multi-card payment option with the default method placed at the top of the interface, ensuring users can easily find their preferred payment method and make edits, especially in scenarios involving multiple card payments.

    We put benefits of the subscription on the left and payment decision part on the right, optimizing user flow and enhancing user experience by facilitating a natural and intuitive progression through the page.

A key insight from our AI bootcamp product's user experience is the pivotal role of a vibrant learning community. Users faced challenges in establishing a robust connection within the learning community. Recognizing this, our team is committed to nurturing a more interactive and supportive ecosystem.Moving forward, we emphasize the importance of community-building by fostering open communication channels, encouraging collaborative projects, and providing avenues for peer interaction. Our focus is on creating an environment where participants feel engaged, supported, and inspired to collaborate, ultimately contributing to a more enriching and fulfilling journey throughout our AI bootcamp."
